Electronic greeting card for cell phones

Text messages and voice mail are so five minutes ago. Next time your cell phone beeps, it may mean you've received an electronic greeting card. Brooklyn-based American Greetings has launched a new mobile e-card service allowing subscribers to send greeting cards to cell phones. On phones with the right capabilities, the cards materialize in full color and with animation. Actually sending a mobile card takes a little of both. The service, currently in a testing phase, is available only to American Greetings subscribers, who, for $13.99 a year, are allowed three mobile cards and an unlimited number of e-cards. An additional $11 provides access to the company's "Create & Print" service.
