Communications vs. potholes

Centennial and Nextel cell phone users can now report a pothole on the spot...thanks to Fort Wayne's new cell phone pothole hotline. If you have those two providers all you need to do is pick up your cell phone and dial # 24. Twenty-four hours a day seven days a week the street department will be taking your calls on where the potholes are at. They hope to fix them within 24 hours. The city says it has open offers to all cell phone providers and so far only Nextel and Centennial have come forward to help with the hotline. If you dial # 24 it won't cost you a thing because the cellular providers are handling the costs. If you don't have a cell phone and see a pothole all you need to do is call 427-1235.
