Majority favors cell phone ban for drivers

A majority (60%) would favor a ban on cell phone use while driving, according to a News-7 poll conducted Monday by SurveyUSA. The pollsters surveyed 500 adults. Most people (84%) say they favor Virginia's new law banning cell phone use by drivers younger than 18. Support for restrictions on cell phone use was slightly higher among older respondents.
