Studies have shown that heavy mobile users have a problem with memory. According to a recent UK survey for a brain teaser magazine, heavy mobile users can no longer remember phone numbers, birth dates or similar information. A quarter of those polled said they couldn't remember even their landline numbers, while two-thirds couldn't remember the birthdays of more than three friends or even family members. Incidentally, the techsavvy , under-30 people fared worse than those over-50 . The survey concluded that users of mobiles and other portable devices that store reams ofpersonal information are incapable of memorizing even the simplest things.
