Motorola USB Data Cable - SKN6311

Highly recommended, especially if you'd like to be able transfer your own ringtones, pictures, backgrounds and screensavers to your phone, or vice versa. The built-in locking clip holds the cable securely to the phone.

It would be nice if there were software for other computing platforms, such as Mac OS X or Linux, but that doesn't have much impact on whether or not the cable itself works, which it does and quite well at that.

Nokia CA-53 Connectivity Cable

There's not really much to say about a simple data cable. It does what it should, namely transferring data back and forth between a Nokia cell phone and a computer. Just plug one end into the phone and the USB end into the computer. Software can be downloaded from the Nokia website, although to transfer files such as images and music, you can go into "My Computer" in Windows - the phone, when connected, appears as a storage device.

I believe when purchased from Nokia, this cable is $59. That's insane. Just shop around on the internet and you can find it for under $10 WITH shipping. And we're talking genuine Nokia cable, not a generic copy.

I considering purchasing a Bluetooth adapter for my computer to facilitate data transfers instead, but it was more expensive than the cable. Granted, the Bluetooth adapter may be handier later if I get more Bluetooth devices, but for now, this is fine.

Solar-Powered Cell Phones

Although it's unlikely that this will be the sole source of power for an upcoming cell phone, it's great to think that you can have this kind of of backup plan ready to go. Motorola has been granted a new patent wherein solar panels would be layered beneath the external LCD of a mobile phone, effectively translating those rays into usable energy. What this also means is that you will not have to walk around with a handset that blatantly rocks ugly solar panels; they'll be hidden.

The Display and Solar Cell Device patent allows mobile phones to be powered by the solar cell screen, as well as get a quick recharge of the internal battery while left in the sun. I don't recommend you leave it on your car's dashboard in the dead heat of the summer, however, because you may return to a pile of melted goo.

This is definitely an interesting idea and will be an absolute godsend to people who just can't be tethered to a wall outlet every few days.

Motorola Mobile Phone Tools 4.0

Works pretty darn well -- you can move your pix, songs, contacts, and calendar entries back and forth from your computer and your phone. You can even splice the songs, crop the pix, and use Motorola's built-in Outlook type interface if you don't have the programs to do that already (granted, they aren't the greatest programs in the world, but functional).

Still, it'd be nice if Motorola's bluetooth driver didn't keep trying to overwrite my exisitng driver for the bluetooth adapter when I tried to connect w/ it (I finally gave up & connected via USB). Also, for what the program was, it didn't really seem like it was worth the retail price. You can get it for like $10 OEM, which I thought was about the right value.

Nokia AC-3U Compact Travel Charger for Nokia 6101

Protective plastic coating where wire enters charger is flimsy and thinner than factory, wire is rubber coated instead of plastic/vinyl like factory nokia AC-3U charger

Just plug it in and your phone in and charge, give it about 2.5 hours, and the nokia 6126 I have is fully charged up. Battery usage time on this phone is shorter than average, regardless of which charger I use, the screen is a power hog.

Nokia 6101 In Car Charger DC-4.

Has all the labels and stickers that chargers in a store had. The only difference is that it came in a polyethylene bag instead of a plastic-and-cardboard package that could hang on a store display.

I bought two of these for a few dollars more than one would have cost in a brick-and-mortar store and both work fine. The phone recharge time is supprisingly short, compared to my previous phone - and I like the assurance that fast/rapid rechargers manufactured by the OEM are probably less likely to damage a phone's battery pack than those from generic compatible chargers.

Nokia 6682 a phone that works!

First it’s a phone that works! The camera/video work allots better than any on a phone I have used and the default naming of pics is customizable. The calendar and alarms work well. There are ALOT of third party software that works, security, email, TV, games even navigation. The 6682 syncs well with Bluetooth devisees, I have 4 currently on the phone, it finds witch ever one I turn on and syncs with it. I have 2 email programs on it and they both work, the free one works but the after market is prettier and more user friendly. I have 3 internet access programs and the all work, I’m just more use to one than the others. This is a Great phone; I don’t know how I got along without it!

Nokia 3220 clearer than other phones

The phone lights up on the sides when you receive a call or message which makes the phone easy to find and attractive. You can also change the back of the phone to display a picture or anything you would like using the provided stencil. Also, I had no problems with dropped calls. In fact, the phone was clearer than other phones I've used from different brands. The camera worked great too. In conclusion, this phone did everything I wanted. Had downloadable ringtones, wallpaper, and even voice ringtones. I highly recommend it.

Nokia 3120 a phone without advanced functions

This is a low-end phone with basic functions, the quality is just fine. Although the screen has only 4096 colors, it is not hard to read. I was amazed to find this is a triband phone with handsfree speaker. It is very easy to handle, with good battery life and clear reception.

If you just need a phone without advanced functions, go for it.

Nokia 6820 lots of features in a small package

This is a great phone for someone who wants bluetooth, email capabilities, and minimal pda functionality without a huge phone. The fold out keyboard makes it great for typing out emails or text messages. Also great for entering notes, to-do list entries and calendar info. I use this as my palm because those are the features I use most so there is no need to carry an additional device all the time. Bluetooth capability makes it a snap to synchronize my calendar, to-do list, contacts, etc. with my computer.

The camera is worthless, but good enough for a quick pic of something if you don't care about quality, but honestly if you care about that buy a camera since that's what they are for. I wish they had left out the camera and added a card slot or something instead.

Definitely a great phone that has lots of features in a small package.

Nokia 6230 simple and professional looking

The phone was one of the top of the lines in 2004 and it still holds its own in 2005. I like the design, it's simple, professional looking, and nothing too fancy. The phone gets really good reception. I don't use WAP/GPRS that often and T-Mobile doesn't support EDGE so I can't really comment on those features.

The phone does support an MMC memory card, but too bad it doesn't support SD cards. I like how you can assign ringtones and pictures to contacts. But the picture for the caller ID is too small when being displayed. The screen is nice, 65k colors and it can be seen well in direct sunlight. The camera feature is decent for a camera phone, but the videos it takes are not good quality at all.

Nokia 9300 PDA Phone without the Bulk

Office features are great...spreadsheets, power point presentations, word documents are all available to be opened and edited. QWERTY keyboard is OK...however the buttons would be better with more feedback. Phone is small enough to fit into a coat pocket, or large pants pocket, but has a screen TWICE as wide as those found on Palm and HP Blackberry units. Only down sides are the lack of a vibrating alert (WHY NOT!?!?!?) and an MP3 player that doesn't exactly carry a sonic punch.
