Toshiba America Information Systems Inc., Telecommunication Systems Division (Toshiba www.telecom.toshiba.com) today announced the launch of the newly enhanced Toshiba Strata® CIXâ„¢40 IP business communication system. Now available, the new Toshiba CIX40 expanded trunk capacity from six to 11, IP channels from eight to 24, and voice mail ports from four to eight. The Strata CIX40 accommodates users in a mix of IP and digital endpoints and is sized and priced just right for SMB and branch office users.
With the new Strata CIX40, users can have up to 24 IP telephones in addition to 16 digital telephones for a total of 40 users on a single system. This is three times the number of IP telephones on the original Strata CIX40 system. Users have a choice of eight, 16 or 24 IP channels. Standard configuration is four analog CO lines, eight digital telephones and one analog port for fax/modem. The new Strata CIX40 is compatible with all of Toshiba's IP phones, the SoftIPT® soft phone and digital telephones, as well as Toshiba-certified third-party SIP telephones. The IP channels may be used for networking or IP telephones and are individually selectable by the user. The Strata CIX40 can be networked with Toshiba's larger CIX100, CIX200, CIX670 IP business communication systems, or other CIX40 systems, and can migrate to any of the larger systems.
