Adobe has produced a version of its Flash player for mobile devices, dubbed Flash Lite 3, that is designed to offer video quality on cell phones that more closely matches desktop computers. No word yet on whether or not this is the version of Flash that will eventually end up on Apple's iPhone, but Nokia has already signed on for its cell phones. Should Nokia manage to release new cell phone models with Flash Lite 3 before Apple can add Flash support to the iPhone, and potentially the iPod touch, it could give the company a leg up in the mobile multimedia market. Le Epting, head of the cell maker's community site Forum Nokia, commented "Flash Lite 3 will enable us to deliver richer content to our customers, such as videos and animated ringtones."
