But you can spend full time immersed in HD filmmaking, involved in not one but two full-length features in the new medium. While acknowledging important distinctions between working in film and HD, you can note that HD's lower per-minute costs allow more coverage, which can translate into more choices for the editor and potentially better performances in the final film.

According to experts, cost considerations aside, HD has some inherent attributes that make it the medium of choice for certain types of work. The most obvious benefits are in movies with lots of special effects.
